One of the earliest Blues of Spring (Brock and Kaufman 2003) is the Silvery Blue (Glaucopsyche lygdamus). It is a butterfly of "moist meadows and grassy areas" (Glassberg 2012). Larval host plants in the Pacific Northwest are Legumes which include lupine, vetch and rattlepod (James and Nunnallee 2011).
