Time to stretch

This loooong spider is a stretch spider, from the genus Tetragnatha. That genus name refers to its huge mandibles (gnatha = mouth).
Just in front (to the left) of the gaping spider jaws you can see some other weird structures on short sticks. Those are the "boxing gloves" on the pedipalps of this spider. They tell us this spider is a male, because those extra little hands are used during kinky spider sex.
The more you know 🙂

Enjoy your #SpiderSunday!
